Video Language Course – Module 1 (A1.1)
Begin your journey into the German language – flexible, practical, and without long waiting times.
With Module 1 (A1.1), you start from the very beginning and learn the most important basics of German for everyday life, work, and life in Germany.
At V-IZ, you learn online just like in a real classroom – with an officially certified BAMF teacher, course book, and matching exercises – only much more flexible and individual.
Contents of Module 1

Introducing yourself and greeting others:
Talk about yourself and others, spell names, say where you’re from, and which languages you speak. -
Numbers, time, and calendar:
Learn numbers up to 100, tell the time, name days, months, and use dates. -
Living and daily routines:
Describe rooms and furniture, talk about your home and everyday activities. -
Food and drinks:
Order in cafés or restaurants, express preferences, understand simple recipes. -
Family and describing people:
Introduce family members, talk about relationships and professions, describe people. -
Shopping and prices:
Name food and clothes, understand quantities and prices, handle basic shopping conversations. -
Health and body:
Name body parts and express simple problems (“I don’t feel well”). -
Additionally:
Topic-based vocabulary and expressions, grammar overviews, and self-assessment tools. -
Grammar & Functions:
Personal pronouns, verb conjugation in the present tense, definite and indefinite articles, simple word order, questions (who, what, where, how), plural forms, possessive articles, separable verbs, negation with nicht and kein.

Your Result
After completing Module 1 (A1.1), you will master the fundamental basics of the German language and be able to communicate in simple everyday situations.
This module prepares you perfectly for Module 2 (A1.2), with which you’ll complete the A1 level and be ready for recognized exams such as telc Deutsch A1 or the Goethe-Zertifikat A1.
All content follows the Schritte plus Neu course book and focuses on real-life, work-related, and integration topics.
